New apple product, a tablet?

Mac tablet

Hmmm. What could this be? Looking through various Apple patents I had found something that had caught my eye. It looks like a tablet computer and upon further investigation could this possibly be a patent for a Mac tablet? I believe it is! If you look at the last page of the patent you can see it is finger based possibly multi-touch? The details from the patent are a little vague but it is exciting to see a design. Do you believe Apple will ever announce a Mac tablet?

EDIT; This seems to be a little old (2005) but we can dream, can’t we?

EDIT; April 2008; This could have possibly been what the iPhone team was working on before switching over to the iPhone. Interesting.
